•	Bob Oates of the //Los Angeles Herald Examiner// reported that three AFL teams—the Raiders, the Chargers, and the Titans—were all going to relocate prior to the 1963 season.

•	According to Oates, the Raiders were going to Kansas City, the Chargers were going to New York, and the Titans were moving to New Orleans.

•	Chargers owner Barron Hilton called the story a “ridiculous rumor”.
