The expansion Miami Dolphins, who were slated to start play this fall, made their first selections in the allocation draft. Among those selections was Raiders quarterback Dick Wood.

The Raiders acquired halfback Hewritt Dixon in a trade with the Broncos for middle linebacker Arch Matsos.
