•	After consulting with their lawyers, president [[Ben Shibe]] and manager [[Connie Mack]] asserted that yesterday’s court ruling overturning the decision that allowed second baseman [[Nap Lajoie]] to play for the Athletics last season only applied to Lajoie and not to pitchers [[Chick Fraser]] and [[Bill Bernhard]] who had also figured in last year’s decision

•	Phillies owner John Rogers announced he would petition the court to issue an injunction against all three players appearing for the A’s in the upcoming season
