  * The //Inquirer// published a list of the American League team rosters. Outfielder [[Dave Fultz]], who had left the Athletics just before the end of the season to coach football and had later been said to be retired, was now listed with the [[Yankees|New York]] squad that had replaced the league's Baltimore franchise. There were a couple of names listed on the A's roster not previously associated with the team: outfielder [[Ollie Pickering]], who was with [[Guardians|Cleveland]] last season, and a pitcher named [[Atwood]].
