•	The team shifted linebacker [[Charlie Rieves]] to fullback.

•	The team traded guard [[Dan Ficca]] to the [[Jets]] for guard [[Bob Mischak]].

•	Quarterback [[Hunter Enis]] did not report to training camp, signifying the end of his pro football career.

•	Rookie wide receiver [[Howard Hartman]] informed the team he would not attend training camp and was quitting football.

===== Injury Updates =====

•	In the first day of camp workouts wide receiver [[Herm Urenda]] suffered a "slight" muscle pull and fullback [[George Pierovich]] sprained a toe.
