Sometime between this date and the end of the year, the Raiders (possibly) signed former Humboldt State running back
Wendell Hayes and placed him on the taxi squad. The Cowboys cut him from their training camp roster on this date and he had signed with the
Broncos by the end of December. There was no mention of his signing at the time, that I could find. The only mention I could find was from September 1965, saying it had happened the previous year.
