Defensive tackle Volney Peters, acquired yesterday from his hometown San Diego Chargers, said he wouldn’t report to the Raiders and would retire instead if necessary.
Wide receiver Herm Urenda was drafted by the US military and ordered to report for duty on September 7. Tight end Doug Asad was also thought likely to be drafted for service with more details expected to be available within a couple of weeks.
