• The Raiders broke a four-game losing streak by beating the Jets, 49-26, at Frank Youell Field.

• The 49 points was a new team record as was their 505 yards in total offense.

Tom Flores started at quarterback, but left in the second quarter with after taking a blow to the head from Jets linebacker Larry Grantham.

Cotton Davidson entered in relief and threw three touchdowns.

• Before Flores' exit, he connected with Dobie Craig for a team record 93-yard touchdown pass.

Clem Daniels also set a Raiders record with 200 yards rushing.

• Cornerback Fred Williamson was ejected in the first quarter for throwing a forearm in a tussle with Jets center Ken Hudock.
