• The AFL clarified a ruling giving the team the right of first refusal on all players cut by the 49ers and half the players cut by the Redskins by saying it only applied to players that hadn’t been drafted by other AFL teams

• The team moved Chris Plain from left tackle to right tackle and moved Joe Barbee from the defensive line to the offensive line to back up Plain

• Don Manoukian, now back from injury took over at left guard with Wayne Hawkins switching to right guard

• Brad Myers was shifted to right halfback behind Tony Teresa
