Wide receiver Glenn Bass, recently acquired by the Raiders from the Bills in the trade that also netted quarterback Daryle Lamonica, said he was considering retiring from pro football rather than accept Oakland's contract offer. Raiders owner Al Davis said if Bass chose not to report, the entire trade, that also included sending quarterback Tom Flores and wide receiver Art Powell to Buffalo would be void.
