In a Thanksgiving Day contest, the Raiders lost to the Bills, 31-10, in the Oakland Coliseum.

Prior to the game, cornerback Kent McCloughan had been named AFL Defensive Player of the Week by the Associated Press for his performance in a win over the Broncos on the 20th.

Injury Updates

Safety Howie Williams (thigh) sat out the game.

During the contest, linebacker JR Williamson received a poke in the left eye, causing significant swelling. He was expected to be ready to play in next week's game against the Chiefs.

Fullback Hewritt Dixon hurt his knee and played sparingly thereafter.
