News

The Raiders fell to the Oilers, 31-0, in Houston.

Injury Updates

Wide receiver Fred Biletnikoff suffered a severe cut to his right cheek just below the eye in the first half. The subsequent swelling closed his eye and forced him out of the game for the duration. Biletnikoff's understudy Larry Todd injured his back in the game, too. Neither of them were certain to play in next week's Coliseum debut against the Chiefs. Defensive back Joe Krakoski also left the game with an unspecified injury.

Transactions

Prior to the game, the Raiders activated recently-acquired guard Palmer Pyle and linebacker Ray Schmautz. In a corresponding move, the team waived tackle Greg Kent and linebacker Richard Jackson.
