The team signed five free agents: halfback Bob Cabanyog out of Pacific, defensive back Ted Cano from Washington State, guard Tom Cousineau from Indiana, halfback Herm Urenda from Pacific, and defensive lineman Dave Williams from Sacramento City College. Cousineau had been with the team in training camp last year, but left partway through to take care of a prior commitment.
