• The win was the first in franchise history
• Quarterback Tom Flores went all the way, completed 13 of 26 passes for 209 yards, a touchdown, and an interception
• The game-winning score came on an eight-yard run by Dean Philpott early in the fourth quarter
• Ron Sabal moved from right guard to left tackle
• Don Manoukian returned to right guard after recovering from a pulled muscle
• Chris Plain injured a leg in the first quarter and did not return to the game
• Fullback Billy Lott suffered a jammed neck in the third quarter and left the game
