- Lineman Dan Birdwell, who had left the team two days ago for a family emergency, arrived in Denver prior to the game and played.
Injury Updates
- Quarterback Tom Flores was shaken up with three minutes left in the game and Cotton Davidson returned to finish the contest.
- Guard Ken Rice and defensive back Loran Hunt missed the game because of prior injuries. Defensive tackle Dave Costa left the game with a shoulder injury.
