News
• On a foggy, chilly Friday night in Kezar Stadium, the team lost to the Chargers, 24-17
• The Chargers overcame a seven-point deficit at halftime to win
• Tom Flores again went all the way at quarterback, taking a beating from the Charger defense, and completed 14 of 39 passes for 188 yards with a touchdown and a pair of interceptions
Injury Updates
• Tight end Gene Prebola pulled a hamstring during the game and was expected to miss the rest of the preseason
• Fullback Billy Lott bruised a shoulder in the third quarter and sat out the rest of the game
• Defensive end Carmen Cavalli suffered a broken nose
