Head coach John Rauch was named Associated Press AFL Coach of the Year.

Five Raiders were named to the Newspaper Enterprises Association All-AFL first team and voted on by the league's coaches: tackle Harry Schuh, center Jim Otto, defensive tackle Tom Keating, middle linebacker Dan Conners, and cornerback Kent McCloughan.

Named to the second team were guard Gene Upshaw, quarterback Daryle Lamonica, running back Hewritt Dixon, defensive end Ben Davidson, and linebacker Bill Laskey.

The AFL All-Star Game teams were named, too. Raiders making the Western Division starting squad were Schuh at tackle, Wayne Hawkins at guard, Otto at center, Lamonica at quarterback, Dixon at fullback, Davidson at defensive end, Keating at defensive tackle, Conners at middle linebacker, and McCloughan at cornerback.
