• In the season finale, the Raiders won their eighth straight in a wild 52-49 win over the Oilers at Frank Youell Field

• The Chargers also won their game, 58-20, over Denver, relegating the Raiders to a second-place finish in the Western Division

• The Raiders finished at 10-4-0, by far their best league mark

Tom Flores set new team records with 407 passing yards and six touchdowns

Clem Daniels gained 158 yards on 22 carries to boost his season's total to a new league record 1,098 yards

Art Powell caught four touchdown passes in the game to set another league record and his 247 yards (on 10 catches) was the second-highest total in league history

• Other league records set: the Raiders' 588 yards of total offense, the teams' combined 1,063 yards of offense, 101 total combined points, 14 total combined touchdowns, and 11 combined touchdown passes

• The team removed offensive line coach Ollie Spencer from the active player list sometime after the end of the season.
