News

Defensive end Dick Davis reported to training camp following military service.

A minor dispute erupted between the team and the league when the Rams released quarterback Ron Miller and AFL commissioner Joe Foss awarded him to the Broncos. Raiders general manager Al Davis protested and put a claim on Miller, arguing that the league had given the Raiders right of first refusal on all Rams training camp cuts.

Foss let the Broncos keep Miller saying that Denver was short on quarterbacks and that he had promised to send help their way when he could. He added that his agreement with the Broncos predated the agreement giving the Raiders and Jets first pick of NFL cuts.

Injury Updates

Quarterback Tom Flores pulled a thigh muscle at the end of practice and was expected to miss about five days.
