The Raiders signed their 16th-round pick in the 1963 draft, West Virginia halfback Jim Moss. Moss had spent some time with the Giants last season before being released.
They also signed free agent Santa Clara fullback Mike Kellogg sometime before this date.
The team hired former Berkeley Gazette and San Leandro Morning News reporter Bruce Bishop as an assistant in the public relations department under Scotty Stirling.
The Salinas Californian reported that Sacramento State tackle Gary Quattrin had signed with the team, though it hadn’t been confirmed elsewhere.
