The Raiders and Jets played to a 24-24 tie in New York. Raiders placekicker Gene Mingo missed two field goals, of 28 and 42 yards, in the last minute and a half, either of which would have given Oakland the win.

Guard Ken Rice was able to play despite injuring his leg in practice earlier in the week.
