The Raiders, in their Oakland Coliseum debut, fell to the Chiefs, 32-10. The Chiefs scored 22 unanswered points in the win.

Transactions

The team activated wide receiver Bill Miller before the game to replace Fred Biletnikoff, who was still not ready for game duty with a facial injury. Miller would back up Larry Todd at the position.

They also activated defensive back Willie Williams and placed defensive back Joe Krakoski and guard Richard Tyson on the injury deferred list with pulled groin muscles.
