The Raiders activated middle linebacker Arch Matsos from the injured deferred list and made room for him by placing defensive back Warren Powers and his injured ankle on the list. Matsos wouldn't return to the starting lineup right away but would instead back up Bill Budness. Powers would be replaced in the lineup at left safety by Joe Krakoski.
