The Chiefs scored 14 fourth-quarter points to beat the Raiders, 21-9, at Frank Youell Field.

Middle linebacker Arch Matsos made his first appearance following illness and injury since early in the preseason.

Injury Updates

Tackle Proverb Jacobs and guard Wayne Hawkins each injured a knee in the game. Neither player's prognosis had yet been determined.

Wide receiver Art Powell aggravated a pulled leg muscle and was held to two catches for 31 yards.

Transactions

Prior to the game, the Raiders waived defensive end Jon Jelacic, who had suffered a groin muscle injury three days ago.

They activated defensive end Ben Davidson and defensive back Howie Williams off the taxi squad.
